Ben Haycock

Ben Haycock is a rapper/musician from Birmingham.

Describing himself, Ben said: “I am not your everyday ‘hood-rapper’ or ‘mainstream’ one.
I do a number of different styles from Hip Hop, Jazz, Acoustic, Rock, House, Blues to Grime. I love working with live bands as I’m a drummer/guitarist myself so I can use my knowledge and experience to function well in that environment.”

Everyone I listen to or meet whether they’re a musician or a singer/songwriter or just someone on the bus, I draw inspiration from them, therefore it’s hard to name just 1 or 2 main influences, but if I was going to say in the past few months I would say Akala,
Lauryn Hill and Melanin 9.”

The passion I have for writing, performing and recording every aspect of music is unbelievable and I just want to share my music with as many people as I can.”
